THE MICHIGAN LANGUAGE CENTER OFFERS A PRE-MBA PROGRAM

The Michigan Language Center (MLC) is pleased to announce that a Pre-MBA Program has been added to its advanced-level course offerings. The Pre-MBA Program includes comprehensive English language instruction which focuses on advanced-level grammar, vocabulary building, reading strategies, writing skills, listening comprehension, note-taking skills and oral presentations. In addition, the Pre-MBA Program includes American business concepts, meeting and discussion skills, business practices and business vocabulary or a GMAT Preparation Class which prepares the student for language section of the Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT). These classes are offered during alternate terms.

The Pre-MBA Program is designed for advanced-level English students who plan to attend an MBA program at an American university. An MLC student may attend one six-week Pre-MBA Program or the full cycle of two six-week programs. The following two Pre-MBA Programs exist:

Program A= The program consists of 24 hours per week of class in addition to the services and optional programs listed below. This program follows the same six-week schedule as the intensive English language program. Tuition= $1,575.00

Program B= The program consists of 20 hours per week of class in addition to the services and optional programs listed below. This program follows the same six-week schedule as the intensive English language program. Tuition= $1,250.00

THE PROCEDURE FOR APPLYING TO THE PRE-MBA PROGRAMS IS THE SAME AS FOR THE REGULAR INTENSIVE ENGLISH LANGUAGE PROGRAMS. A STUDENT MAY DECIDE TO TAKE PROGRAM "A" OR PROGRAM "B" AFTER ARRIVING IN ANN ARBOR.

ADDITIONAL SERVICES AVAILABLE TO PRE-MBA STUDENTS AT THE MLC

• Airport Pick Up: Available upon request; fee charged for this service
• Housing: Safe, convenient, and comfortable student apartments
• Orientation: Introduction to student life in Ann Arbor; assistance with banking and other needs
• Academic Counseling: Experienced counselor assists students in applying to MBA programs at American universities
• TOEFL Preparation: Option to attend a TOEFL preparation class
• Conversation Club: Extra conversation practice in an informal setting
• Special Seminar: Additional practice in pronunciation or vocabulary development two hours per week
• Social Events: Variety of MLC sponsored social events for students
