MLC Overview
Michigan Language Center (MLC) has provided high quality English as a Second Language (ESL) programs in Ann Arbor, Michigan since 1978. Over the years, MLC has equipped over 50,000 alumni from over 50 different countries to:
- Enter undergraduate and graduate programs at American universities
- Utilize their English language skills in work related situations
- Expand their communication skills in order to interact with native English speakers
- Engage in American culture
MLC is authorized by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP) to issue the “Form I-20” (the “Certificate of Eligibility for Nonimmigrant Student Status – For Academic and Language Students”). Students can take the Form I-20 to the U.S. Consulate in their home country in order to apply for the F-1 student visa.
