University Pathway Overview
The University Pathway program is offered to students who are enrolled in MLC’s Intensive English Program. We have established partnerships with a wide variety of universities across the United States. To learn more about our partner universities, please contact us.

MLC University Pathway is designed to give MLC students a clear path toward their goal of university admissions and receiving a Conditional Letter of Acceptance. Through relationships with partner universities, MLC assists academically qualified students in applying to universities and receiving a Conditional Letter of Acceptance. Students are able to gain conditional admission to universities so that they can begin their university studies after they complete English studies at MLC and/or have passed the university’s prescribed English exams (e.g. IELTS, TOEFL). Requirements vary by university.
In addition, MLC University Pathway helps students who are applying to universities that are not MLC university partners. The MLC University Pathway provides students with university counseling, essay review, interview advice and help with completing applications.

Benefits of MLC University Pathway
- Save time and money by studying English at MLC instead of a more expensive Intensive English Program at a university.
- Eliminate TOEFL or IELTS preparation and examination from the application process for select partner schools.
- Select and apply to up to 3 partner university programs with the help of our Success Coach while studying at MLC.
- Receive expert advice and support from our experienced team.
Conditional Admissions Process
In conditional admissions, universities will admit academically qualified MLC students on the condition that students will:
- Pass an MLC speaking interview and essay evaluation
- Achieve the MLC Advanced Level Certificate OR pass a university prescribed English examination (i.e. TOEFL, IELTS).
MLC will help currently enrolled students complete the necessary application forms to receive Conditional Letters of Acceptance. MLC will help students apply to 3 of our partner universities.
Study at MLC
- When students arrive at MLC, they will be given an English placement test to evaluate their English language proficiency. Based on the test, students will be placed into one of five levels of MLC’s Intensive English Language Program.
- While students are enrolled at MLC, they will receive support from a University Counselor throughout the duration of their time studying English and preparing for higher education. MLC will continually test and measure students’ English level to ensure they are on the path to university enrollment.
- Once the student has successfully obtained the MLC Advanced Level Certificate OR achieved a passing score on a prescribed English exam (ie. TOEFL/IELTS), the student will gain full admission to the partner university.
Partner Universities that Accept MLC’s Advanced Level Certificate
Students who have been conditionally admitted to the following partner universities may provide the MLC Advanced Level Certificate in place of satisfactory English Proficiency Scores (i.e. TOEFL, IELTS, MELAB, PTET) to gain full admission. Upon successful completion of the prescribed advanced level classes, students will receive the MLC Advanced Level Certificate, which they can provide to any of the below partner universities to gain full admission.
