Advanced Level Overview
Whether a student’s goals are to improve English for professional, academic, or real-world purposes, the Advanced Level classes help them to achieve these goals.
In the Advanced Level, students will:
- Further their knowledge and use English with increased complexity and fluency
- Analyze the form, meaning, and use of high-level grammar structures, and continue to practice using grammar authentically
- Develop and use more sophisticated vocabulary to express more complex ideas
- Build reading and listening fluency for real-world and academic material
- Practice speaking English with better fluency and pronunciation
- Sharpen writing skills by increasing writing speed, expressing sophisticated ideas, and applying a more advanced vocabulary
- Complete written exercises and special projects
- Take classes focused on specialized skills, such as Business English or test preparation skills for the TOEFL or IELTS exams
After completing the Advanced Level, students will be able to
- Understand and use a wide range of English vocabulary and grammar to express detailed, complex ideas
- Engage in English conversation authentically with greater fluency and pronunciation
- Comprehend high-level reading and listening material about a range of specific real-world and academic topics
