The “Form I-20” is the “Certificate of Eligibility for Nonimmigrant Student Status - For Academic and Language Students.” Students will take the Form I-20 to the U.S. Consulate in their home country in order to apply for the F-1 student visa. The U.S. Consulate will make the decision.

I understand that the tuition at the Michigan Language Center is $1,575 for each five-week session. Living expenses are estimated to be approximately $2,425 for each five-week session. Therefore, an intensive student at the MLC should have at least $4,000 available to him or her for each five-week session of study to pay for tuition and living expenses, and $500 for each dependent I bring (if applicable). I agree to be responsible for these expenses. I also understand that the Michigan Language Center will notify the Immigration and Naturalization Service if a student arrives in the United States without adequate funds or if a student does not maintain his or her student status by studying full time.
