I was a former MLC student who is from Japan. They are great in many ways. Very quick and efficient enrollment process, variety of classes that will fit your level, and staff and instructors are very welcoming and supportive. MLC helped me with improving my TOEFL scores quickly, and I feel more confident in writing essays and research papers. Recommend!

It is really amazing place for studying English . All teacher are great , respectful and professional .The tuition is reasonable . I used to study English in Wayne State University ,but it is not worth it . The same material that I took in Wayne state I take it in MLC with friendly and very nice teachers with lower tuition.My conversion skill is improving because of friendly atmosphere. The environment is very comfortable and the MLC staff are really generous. You can print your papers for free . Also, coffee, tea and WiFi are available for free. They also offer facilities if you are seeking to get acceptance in American university .they always have fun activities. I really love it.

MLC is one of the best language center. In my course, I improved a lot with the resources I learnt during my stay . The teachers and staff felt like home and they helped me gain confidence on myself and my English skills.Very good teachers, perfect atmosphere to learn English, useful facilities to help you learn quickly. My stay here at the Michigan language Centre was such an amazing experience that I will never forget.

One of the main reasons why I joined MLC was to develop my academic English specifically. They have a TOEFL preparation course taught by Ms. Kerri Johnson, who has a long experience in teaching English. She helped me improve my speech for the TOEFL test and to develop my reading and listening skills in general as well. And in the writing course with teacher Joshua my writing skills improved significantly. MLC was one of my most beautiful experiences in America and I thank them very much for what they have given me.

The MLC was a very special part of the story of my family in Ann Arbor during the last year! It was decisive for the good performance that my daughter has had as a midle school student. She has just graduated from 8th grade with honors! My own experience at the MLC has also been excellent. The private classes with Gail have been extremely pleasant and very useful in the preparation of my lectures at the University of Michigan. As a former MLC employee, I can say that MLC is a great place to meet and work with people from all over the world. The faculty and staff are dedicated and friendly professionals who are passionate about their work. The school has also been growing under the new leadership. This is hands down the best place to teach ESL in Ann Arbor.

If I want to write something for MLC as a school I would say that is the school that made me feel comfortable.The most important thing is the way how the teachers help international students and treat them equally . Now that I’m going to transfer in university I started my initial steps of success at the MLC .

I recommend 100% this language school (MLC) without reservation. I really enjoyed interacting with all the staff who are always smiling and available for a conversation. I’ve studied in the chool for half a year. I made great strides on my English acquisition through my hardwork and classes in MLC. I highly recommend it to English learners. The classes are very good organized, you won’t feel bored, the materials they chose for class are usually interesting. We have presentations to do every session.I love doing presentations, have fun and challenges. we also have lots tests, sometimes stressful, but are beneficial to us.

I attended MLC for just 2 sessions, but what an experience it had been. The family environment, the small focused classroom structure, and friendly teachers, all were great. I highly recommend it to anyone who has trouble using english as a second language.

I have been volunteering at the MLC for 5 months and I can tell you it is a very special place. The school has been in operation for over 40 years and they have developed a culture all their own. My conversation practice with the students is the highlights of my week; the students all have a diverse mix of backgrounds and experiences, and they all share the love of language and a desire to improve their skills.The school's programs cover the full range of abilities from young beginners right up to professionals working on accent mitigation. Everyone is very professional, welcoming and committed to creating the best learning environment possible.

My company works with MLC to have all our international employees join their custom sessions for language improvement. MLC is awwwwsome! We had so much good experience with them. They customized lessons based on our needs and our requests. Their class is not just about learning but having fun! In the class, you play, you laugh, you practice, and you learn! Unlike any of the traditional education, their education focuses on experience and happiness. Out of class, MLC keeps building connections and friendships with us. We went out to a bar to learn about American culture and talk about funny circumstances we bumped into. We had dinner at their place together to meet new friends from different countries. We took them to new bubble tea place to share our culture back in China. It is just so much fun to be with them!

It's an awesome place for international students . I and my nephew took courses here and both of us had wonderful experiences with MLC's staffs. They gave us more than language lessons. There are a lot of cultural and social activities in MLC that allowed us to make new friends and emerge in AA life. They really care about you by listen. understand and adjust the lectures to meet our demand. This English center is worth every penny

MLC did really great job to help me enhance social communication and professional English skills as an international employee. Teachers are awesome! They made study and training plans for my specific traits, and had taught me a lot of knowledge and experience I would never learnt from school itself. With their help I now felt more confident and fluent to talk with my colleagues, boss, friends or even strangers. What's more, MLC gave me a bridge to enjoy American and international cultures, and to make more friends. In a nutshell we've spent a lot of fun time!

My instructor was great and the staff were very friendly. They offered various activities online and webinars and I especially liked the writing assessment and impromptu webinar.I enjoyed the experience at MLC overall, but I still felt the tuition was expensive compared to other ESL classes. If the tuition had been lower, I would have taken more classes.

I had been studying English in MLC for the long haul before landing a nursing job leaving there. It was an amazing experience for me with each friendly MLC staff, professional and patient teachers, and lovely classmates! I never thought I could finish lots of things required for becoming a Registered Nurse in the US before I came to MLC. But since I was here, my life has been changing every day in every possible way. MLC is magic!Just want to say, never wait until the time when you feel much ready to use English either at workplace or in English speaking countries. If you’re on the way chasing your dreams, go to MLC and they will support you! Coming to MLC will definitely be the best decision you will have ever made!Thank you MLC! I miss you all!

I used to study here with wonderful classmates and teachers. It doesn't matter what level of English you are in. Teachers always support you.Also, there are many activities you can join like Ann Arbor tour and some seasonal events. That should be great opportunity to make friends for you!I don't have any regrets to study here. All I want to do now is going back to MLC again. I really miss the time I spent with friends and teachers. Make sure don't be afraid of new challenges at this special place:)

I was learning English 5 Months in MLC. All staffs and teachers are nice and professional. They provide me a good environment to study, and they try their best to lead us pratice our English, such as many different types of conversation. By the way, they hold a lot of extracurricular activities. I didn't have any friends at the first when I came to U.S, but I have a lot of friends now. I like MLC.

I was a student at MLC in their old location in Spring & Summer 2016. I came from Saudi Arabia 🇸🇦 and I didn’t know any words in English. However, the ways that teachers Sabrina, Josh, and Joly use to teach are just perfect, and with these perfect ways, they also used their body language to make sure that we were understanding. By the time, the students and I begin to learn so quickly, and I was not expected to be learned and got 5 in IELTS in less then a year. What also was really helped is MLC provided a conversation partner who is a citizen from Ann Arbor. Therefore, I recommend it as a perfect language learning place. I won’t forget these days at MLC! I learned a lot at MLC for about one year. Upon my moving to the U.S., I was looking for any good place where I can learn something and have good friends as well. MLC turned out to be a perfect one for people like me!All the coordinators and instructors always encourage us stepping forward and they provide not only quality classes but also many activities. One of the best points is we can take classes both in person and online. Thanks to this, I could consistently participate even when I spent a few weeks in my country. Besides, students are coming from literally all over the world, so I could feel full of diversity through any interaction.Even after finishing my studying there, I have a really rich relationship with others and MLC family.I highly recommend this place to start your journey in the States.
