We’re excited to announce our partnership with Saginaw Valley State University (SVSU), one of the largest and most affordable universities in the state of Michigan. Benefits of our new partnership:
- Students will NOT need to take TOEFL or IELTS. Students will just need to pass a MLC’s advanced level test and receive a recommendation for university level work from our Academic Director. Please email us for more details.
- Students will receive consideration for the Red & White Award and other additional scholarships.* The Red & White Award recipient will be given the equivalent of approximately $50,000 (based on 140 undergraduate course credits) in tuition discounts
- Additional $1,000 scholarship per semester for the 1st year (or their 1st two semesters)*
*3.0 GPA minimum required for academic scholarships
We are extremely excited about our newest university partner. Please contact us if you would like more information about MLC’s University Pathway to SVSU.
Some of SVSU’s highlights:
Convenient, Safe Location: SVSU’s main campus is centrally located within the state of Michigan and the Great Lakes Bay Region of Saginaw, Bay City and Midland. The MBS International Airport is only ten minutes from campus and Detroit is two hours by car. Our campus and surrounding areas are extremely safe.
Affordable: SVSU offers one of the lowest tuition rates of all public universities in Michigan and many Mid-Western states.
Small Classes: The undergraduate average class size is 24 and the graduate average class size is 16 students.
Breathtaking Campus: SVSU’s campus is modern, compact and state-of-the-art. The Health & Human Services building constructed in 2010 provides high-tech classrooms and laboratories for students in disciplines such as nursing, occupational therapy, exercise science, athletic training and social work. More than 70 percent of the SVSU campus has been constructed in the last 15 years. Unlike campuses in urban centers, parking is ample and free.
Vibrant University Culture: SVSU has almost 10,000 students, including more than 900 international students from nearly 50 countries. We provide a rich campus culture with concerts, guest lectures, theatrical performances and many athletic programs.
